DAY 01 Overnight Stay at Negombo Arrival, Muthurajawela Marsh

Negombo is in the heart of Sri Lanka's fishing industry. The sea and catamarans are the backdrop of the Negombo. Negombo is renowned for its fishing. Negombo's fish market is quite possibly the island's best. The city is dominated by shrines and picturesque churches due to its significant Catholic population,. The biggest is the impressive, candy-colored church of St Mary's, which exhibits some amazing ceiling paintings. Negombo offers some of the better beaches on the west coast of Sri Lanka, and draws tourists who stop over for a day on their way to or from the airport.

**Evening visit Muthurajawela Mash and join for a boat ride in Dutch canal. Muthurajawela Marsh

The Muthurajawela Marshes are situated just south of Negombo and covers an area of approximately 6,000 hectares inclusive of the Negombo lagoon. The daily high tide brings in seawater from the ocean into the wetland. Continuous mixing of these two waters over thousands of years, has led to a brackish, integrated coastal ecosystem that is biologically diverse and teeming with life. A variety of mangroves and other types of flora including medicinal plants are found alongside numerous types of birds, butterflies and fish, some of which are endemic. After breakfast in hotel Proceed to Willpattu National Park for Jeep Safari (Day 02)

**After The Safari check in to your camping site in Wilpattu or proceed to Anuradhapura for your stay in a hotel.
Willpattu National Park

Willpattu National Park, which is famous for Leopards and all other species.The park is located 30km west of Anuradhapura and spans the border between the North Central and North Western Province. It is bordered by the Modaragam aru in the south the Kala Oya in the north and is bordered by the Indian ocean in the west.

The Wilpattu National Park is the largest national park in the area with an acreage of 131, 693 hectares. It is situated ranging from sea level to 152 metres above it. Participate for a Jeep Safari across the national park and you will be the luckiest if you can capture a leopard to your camera.
After Visit Anuradhapura Ancient City and then Proceed to Habarana (Day 03)

Anuradhapura is the the main ancient kingdoms in Sri Lanka.This sacred city was established around a cutting from the 'tree of enlightenment', the Buddha's fig tree, brought there in the 3rd century B.C. by Sanghamitta, the founder of an order of Buddhist nuns.

Anuradhapura, a Ceylonese political and religious capital that flourished for 1,300 years, was abandoned after an invasion in 993. Hidden away in dense jungle for many years, the splendid site, with its palaces, monasteries and monuments, is now accessible once again.

**Then proceed to Habarana and stay leisure at the evening after check in to the hotel then you can participate for an elephant back ride and Hiriwadunna Nature Trails. Elephant Back Ridding

The reservoir itself, the surrounding scrub jungle, marshland and village are a hive of early morning or an evening activity. The amazing birdlife, butterflies and possible sightings of crocodile only add to the charm of seeing the villagers as they go about their early morning tasks of fishing, or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake.
After Visit POlonnaruwa Ancient City and then Visit Minneriya NP (Day 04)
DAY 04 Overnight Stay at Habarana Polonnaruwa, Minneriya Jeep Safari
**After breakfast Procced to the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa and you will have the option for a bicycle ride through the traditional villages of Polonnaruwa while visiting historical places.

Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's splendid medieval capital was established as the first city of the land in the 11th Century, A.D. It replaced Anuradhapura, plundered made desolate, and laid hopelessly bare to the invading armies from South India. Three Kings dominate the annals of the city and the period.

**After Lunch proceed to Minneriya National Park for a Jeep Safari (Bigest Elephant Gathering In Sri Lanka). Minneriya Jeep Safari

The Minneriya national park is situated in between Polonnaruwa and Habarana. The park covers an area of 8890 hectares and is a transit lounge of sorts for the elephants travelling from Kaudulla to the Wasgomuwa national park. At the Minneriya national park one could site 200-300 Asian elephants during the peak season which takes place during the dry season; June to September.

'The Gathering' refers to the annual meeting of large numbers of elephants at the Minneriya tank that is located at the centre of the park. Here the elephants drink, bathe and search for a prospective mate. In addition to the elephant one could also spot sloth bears, spotted deer, sambar, leopards, macaque monkeys and the endangered red lipped lizard. The park has a range of habitat types varying from grasslands, dry tropical forests, terrain and wetlands. After the Breakfast We Start climbing Sigiriya Rock Fortress and then proceed to Kandy (Day 05)
DAY 05 Overnight Stay at Kandy Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Temple of Tooth Relic
**After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya Rock Fortres 5th century A.D.

Sigiriya (166 km from Colombo), the stupendous 5th century A.D. rock-fortress citadel of a fugitive king, where history merges with melodrama. A gallery of frescoes of shapely be-jewelled maidens still glows with vibrant colour and the water. It is believed these paintings depict the apsaras?? or goddess and some say it represents the lightning and clouds. Another distinctive feature of Sigiriya is the Mirror Wall which is located just below the paintings. The surface of this wall is well polished and covered with writings known as Sigiri Graffiti?? which are a form of poems. The Lion Staircase leads to the summit and the special feature of this is the massive Lion Paw which carved out of rock. The brick wall is still preserved in original form. Sigiriya is being currently excavated and restored by UNESCO under the Cultural Triangle Project and according to sources is most likely to be declared as a wonder of the world.

**Then proceed to Kandy and check in to the hotel. Evening visit Temple of Tooth Relic and Traditional Kandyan Dance. Kandy

Sri Lanka's picturesque highland capital, last stronghold of Sri Lankan kings against European conquest from the 16 th to the 19 th centuries. It is the sanctuary of traditional culture, and the island's most Visited tourist resort.

Kandy's main attraction is the Dalada Maligawa, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha brought to Sri Lanka in the 4 th century AD. This sacred relic has ever since been the symbol of sovereignty for its rulers and is always enshrined in great splendor. If you are visiting Kandy during July-August the Esala Perahera is definitely a must see. Termed as Asia's grandest pageant, this spectacular annual event is held to honour the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha and to obtain blessings of the guardian deities of Sri Lanka.
After breakfast Visit Royal Botanical Gardens kandy and then proceed to Nuwara eliya. (Day 06)
DAY 06 Overnight Stay at Nuwara Eliya Royal Botanical Gardens, Tea Plantation
**After breakfast do a city tour in Kandy with Royal Botanical Gardens.

Six kilometers from Kandy, at Peradeniya, the magnificent 57 hectare Royal Botanical Gardens, laid out in 1832, are among the finest in the world. Its treasures of tropical flora include fine collections of orchids, aromatic spices, medicinal herbs, palms and rare, endangered plant species.

**Then proceed to Nuwara eliya. On the way visit a tea plantation. Check in to the hotel and at the evening do a city tour in Nuwara eliya. Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya, meaning "city on the plain (table land)? or "city of light?, is a town in the central highlands of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. Nuwara Eliya's climate lent itself to becoming the prime sanctuary of the British civil servants and planters in Ceylon. Nuwara Eliya, called Little England then, was also a hill country retreat where the British colonialists could immerse in their pastimes such as fox hunting.

Due to the high altitude, Nuwara Eliya has a much cooler climate than the lowlands of Sri Lanka, with a mean annual temperature of 16 'C. But the temperature changes and sometimes it can be as low as 3'C. In the winter months it is quite cold at night, and there can even be frost. Although it rapidly warms up as the tropical sun climbs higher during the day.
Visit Horton Plains / World's End and then Proceed Yala via Bandarawela and Ella. (Day 07)
DAY 07 Overnight Stay at Yala Horton Plains, Bandarawela, Ella
**Early in the morning visit Horton Plains.Then proceed to Yala and check in to the hotel.
Horton Plains.

Horton Plains, the coldest and windiest location in Sri Lanka consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, Horton Plains spreads across over 3,169 hectares of the highest tableland of the island. In view of the large number of endemic flora and fauna species, Horton Plains was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 30th July 2010. The escarpment with a depth of 900 meters called World's End and Baker's Falls are the highlights of the Horton Plains. Bandarawela.

Surrounded by hills and tea plantations, the town of Bandarawela is the perfect getaway from Sri Lanka's tropical heat. The town enjoys spring like weather throughout the year. A favourite retreat of the British during colonial times, Bandarawela is dotted with English country style houses and sprawling gardens. **Camping Site is Available.
After breakfast in hotel proceed to Yala National Park for full day safari. (Day 08)
DAY 08 Overnight Stay at Yala Yala National Park, Leopards
**After breakfast in hotel proceed to Yala National Park for full day safari (where you will find the highest density of the Leopards in Sri Lanka) . Yala National Park.

Sri Lanka's oldest national park the Yala National Park is located in the south-east corner of Sri Lanka and has an area of about 127,000 ha. The major activities are bird and game watching, especially elephants which are best seen from October to December. It is 305 km from Colombo and access to the Park is via Ratnapura, Tissamaharama. Yala is by far the most popular national park in Sri Lanka and renowned for the variety of the wildlife, largely characteristic of dry zone tropical thorn forest and fine coastline and associated coral reefs.

**After the Safari check in to Hotel.
After breakfast in hotel proceed to Rathnapura. (Day 09)
DAY 09 Overnight Stay at Rathnapura Rathnapura, Gem Industry
**After Breakfast at the Yala hotel proceed to Ratnapura and visit surrounding in Ratnapura to see the Gem Industry. Rathnapura.

Ratnapura famous for Gem Industry and It is the centre of a long-established industry of precious stone mining including rubies, sapphires, and other gems. Apart from gem mining, the city is known for rice and fruit cultivations. Large plantations of tea and rubber surround the city. Tea grown in this region is called low-country tea. There is a well-established tourism industry in Ratnapura. Sinharaja Forest Reserve, are especially popular among tourists.
In the Morning Visit Sinharaja Rain Forest then Proceed to Mirissa. (Day 10)

Sinharaja Rain Forest (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the last viable remnant of Sri Lanka's tropical lowland rainforest spanning an area of 18900 acres is located within Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces of the south-west lowland wet zone of Sri Lanka. Sinharaja is bounded by rivers on three sides. On the north, Sinharaja is bounded by the Napola Dola and Koskulana Ganga. On the south and south-west are the rivers Maha Dola and Gin Ganga. On the west are the river Kalukandawa Ela and river Kudawa Ganga. To the east of Sinharaja is an ancient footpath near Beverley Tea Estate and by the Denuwa Kanda.

Sinharaja Forest reserve is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka's endemic species of mammals and butterflies, as well as many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians.

**Spend the afternoon soaking up some sun on the beach or relaxing in the Beach.
Early in the morning Proceed to Mirissa to Watch The Whales and then Proceed to Bantota (Day 11)

This is the full experience out with the whales, the most comfortable boat with the best viewing, a 3 hour cruise to spend the maximum amount of time with the whales, with all the facilities. We regularly see large pods of dolphins and, in the migration season, blue whales can be found just a few miles offshore.

**After Whale Watching then Watch Turtle Hatchery while Driving Mirissa to Bentota. Turtle Hatchery.

Projects have been launched to conserve the population of turtles that are reaching extinction and such projects are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka where turtles come as hop to lay their eggs. The turtle digs a hole on the Beach, Lays hers eggs and covers it with sand where it is suppose, incubate by the heat of the sun.

What often happens is the eggs are dug out by fisherman and sold to people who consume them. But now the eggs are bought up by the conservation projects and hatched the Natural way in enclosed areas and the Birds don't have a chance of picking them up. This offers them a better chance of survival
Bentota (Day 12)
DAY 12 Overnight Stay at Bantota Coastal Town of Bentota, Water Sports

Facing the Indian Ocean, a tropical lagoon and a major river Bentota offers water sports possibilities nowhere else to be found. Apart from swimming, body-surfing or diving in the sea, you can jet-ski, windsurf, parasail or enjoy a romantic river safari on the river and lagoon.

Bentota is a tourist attraction, with a local airport (Bentota River Airport) and a handful of world-class hotels. It is a destination for watersports. It is the hosting land for the famous Sri Lankan Jeweler Aida.Bentota also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda.
